Farmer, artist, and photographer. Confederate Civil War Veteran (Sergeant, Company B, 6th Kentucky Cavalry). Rode with Brig. Gen. John Hunt Morgan, captured at Buffington Island during Morgan's Ohio Raid (19 Jul 1863), and spent rest of the war as POW at Camp Douglas in Chicago, IL.

Harbert King, Sr. (1820-1862) m. Elizabeth Jane Suddith. Farmer. Union Civil War Veteran (Captain, Company F, 3rd Kentucky Infantry). Resigned his commission 28 Sep 1862 and subsequently killed by Confederate sympathizers, along with his two sons and a dozen or so other Unionists.
